Football 2011 - Croke Park

         
Our boys and girls senior Gaelic football teams both reached the finals of their divisions and played in Croke Park on the 14th December.

Our Boy's Senior team won all of their games this season.  In the quarter finals they beat St. Mary's and St Benedict's and in the semi-finals they beat Scoil Chaoimhin, Kilnamanagh.  
In the final, at Croke Park, the boys had a very convincing win over Scoil Naithi.  They were fantastic.  The 30 players on the squad all had a part to play in getting to the final and in the final itself. They are all very talented and deserved the victory.  Well done!
                  

The girls team had a very exciting season and the girls displayed great energy, skill and enthusiasm. In the quarter finals they beat Scoil Neasain and in the semi-finals they beat Scoil Thomais, Castleknock.  In the final, in Croke Park, the girls were against Loreto, Rathfarnham.  They girls made an explosive start and were very impressive.  The game went to extra time but unfortunately we lost.  The girls never gave up and did the school proud. Well done to the girls.  .
