Quiz Teams 25-26

We had a very successful year with our two quiz teams this year. John Stead, Quinn McArdle, Rose Corcoran, Frank O'Donoghue, Fia Mangan, Leo Butterly, Aimee and Ryan Shananan all represented Divine Word in two different teams in the South Dublin Libraries Quiz, the Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Libraries Quiz and the Credit Union Quiz. All the daily practice with Mr Timmons, Mr Lynch, Ms Brennan, Ms Gallaher and Mr Brady paid off. Divine Word went on to both library finals and came third in both districts. They also topped the poll in the Credit Union level quiz in Taney in February and the Chapter level of the Credit Union. This resulted in a place in the National Final Schools Quiz competition in the RDS in April. The team competed with 57 other school teams from around the country. They came in joint eighth overall. A fantastic result.

If you fancy testing your knowledge, look at some of the questions we answered.
