Last week we celebrated two STEM Days in our school. Each class arrived in the hall to carry out a range of activities and experiments in small groups. They built forts, camp ramps with different slopes, structures out of spaghetti and marshmallows and a marble run. They carried out experiments with floating and sinking, electrical circuits, magnetism and transparent, translucent and opaque materials. The children investigated the Ph levels of many liquids and their wn reaction time. We created a huge mess recreating the craters of the moon with flour, cocoa powder, sprinkles and rocks. Lots of children went home with dusty uniforms. Using digital technology children got an opportunity to play with the Quiver app, the Stop Motion app and the Green Screen. A huge thank to our three fantastic Rang a Sé students who helped run the day for the bunranganna and all the staff who helped on the days.
