Countries Represented in Our School
There are 37 different nationalities/ethnicities represented in our school. Below is a list of the countries. They include where children from our school were born and children who have a parent from a different country.
We held numerous Action Days in our school.
6th classes organised a cake sale on Friday 16th October. We raised 2143euro for the UNICEF Syrian Refugee appeal.
We held Friendship week in February 2014. The whole school was involved. We took part in early morning table tennis, circle time in the library, buddy reading, friendship art, skipping, a good news tree and Marley’s Got Talent.
Europe Day / Blue Star Award
We took part in the Blue Star project and studied all about Europe. We celebrate Europe Day on the 9th May 2014. Click here to see our work on Europe.
6th Class Ms Hayes and the Amawele project
Emma from the Amawele charity has visited 6th class throughout the year. They have learned lots about Global Citizenship and about life in South Africa. They skyped a school in South Africa many times throughout the year.
Country Projects completed by Mr Lynch’s 4th Class 2015/2016
Fair Trade fortnight takes place on the 29th February to the 11th March. The green school committee are showing a power point presentation at assembly and have made a display. Classes will be learning about the importance of Fair trade.
