On Wednesday the 22nd of April, in the early morning, our cake sale will commence. Brownies, muffins, buns, cookies and loads of fun games to try your hand at will be awaiting you. Each stall will have some sort of game. The cake sale is for all students. And when I say all students I mean all students. If your not as interested in buying cakes you could simply purchase raffle tickets. If you achieve success, your name will be pronounced on the intercom.

It is almost as though everybody in the room is on mute as Mr Williams announces the list of people who will get to dart up to the library with great excitement and select whatever prize they like from an assortment of prizes provided by the students. And if you not concerned about anything except cakes then you can tuck in because there will be plenty of treats to make you full to the maximum.

The cake sale is run by all of the sixth class pupils. It would be a wonderful asset to the cake sale if you could all simply bake. Your services would be hugely appreciated as all profits of the cake sale are being donated to this years charity which is Lauralynn.

If you don’t have much time on your hands or just aren’t the most gifted baker another thing that you could do to support would be to have a quick root around the house to see if you have any items that you could donate as raffle prizes. Things like appropriate films, games and books that are in good condition are ideal. Other items could be nail varnish, jigsaws, a pack of cards, colours, notebooks etc. are also acceptable. Each class will have a set time where they will arrive at the hall and purchase as many cakes and raffle tickets as their hearts desire. To help round up all of the money it would be best if you could all bring in coins that are from ten cents and more.

You can really push the cake sae forward by just taking five minutes to look around the house for some unwanted items or taking part of your afternoon to make a delicious cake that all could enjoy.

All of this is to make the children of Lauralynn that little bit happier before they pass on. Even a small donation to our cake sale is very much appreciated
