This year the Student Council decided that the classes would be asked to make their own Halloween costume. The standard was extremely high and we were disappointed we couldn’t get everyone a prize!! The hours of work that must of gone into making the costumes were evident. Take a look at the winners – amazing job everyone – Well Done!!
Senior Infants took part in Outdoor Classroom on Thursday 12th October 2017. It was so much fun – We brought in our wellies but there was NO REAL puddles so Ms. Larkin made some for us to splash in!!!
We got to take part in Wellie throwing aswell. We had Circle Time outside and had a Maths Trail with 3rd Class.
In the morning, we had a word hunt around the school, to find all the words we can read from our Class Reader ‘Look Out Teddy’.
Take a look at some of the snaps from the day.
The day was super, as you can see from the photos and we were all tired afterwards!!!
Eric Dempsey visited the school on Thursday the 28th of September. He gave a workshop to the 3rd and 4th classes.
He is one of Ireland’s leading bird experts, author of many books and team member of RTE’s Mooney Goes Wild show. The workshops were both entertaining and informative for pupils and teachers alike. He brought the world of birds alive through hands-on workshops that included looking at lots of feathers as well as some of the wonderful photos that Eric took himself. A great day was had by all. Our thanks to Fidelma Fagan and the local residence association who funded the visit.
