We would firstly like to extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Culligan family on the sudden death of Eoghan Culligan in the tragic accident in Berkeley. Eoghan was a past pupil here in the Divine Word NS and the whole school community will remember him in our thoughts and prayers. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

As the old Latin saying goes “Tempus Fugit”… Time flies!! Welcome to the first (and overdue!!) Newsletter of 2015. It seems a long time since we were making our way to the School Hall or Church for the Christmas festivities… and now we are preparing for our National Day celebrations. As we commence 2015 I hope we can be assured of your continuing co-operation and support. 2015 will be an exciting time for the school as we will eventually dispose of all our prefabs and replace them with a new building… more of this a little later. There are a number of items we would like to inform you of and some dates for your diaries!!

Dear Parents / Guardians,
Welcome back everyone to a new school year!! I hope you all had a lovely summer wherever you may have been.
This school year we welcome back Ms O’Brien and Ms Larkin following maternity leave. We also welcome back Ms Hayes who is replacing Mr. Reilly while he is on career break. We would like to welcome Nikki O’Riordan who has joined us for a year as an SNA. We offer our deepest sympathies to Ms Basquel on the death of her sister during the summer, to Ms O’Halloran (SNA) on the death of her brother, to Sr. Veronica on the death of her sister and to Rose (our tea lady) on the death of her nephew.
